Jelly ''o者 喱''

 ""Hi~ everyone* I’m Susan Tam. Good to see you. Thanks for coming my blog again and I hope you can enjoy my last sharing. 

I like eating very much so I make some food if I have a free time. In the past, I like making some jelly with my boyfriend who is interested in it. I remembered that I was not good at cooking because I never cook in the kitchen. 

Why I made the food to my boyfriend because I want to give him more happiness every day. Although I just made some jelly when in a special day such as Valentine’s Day, Christmas and Anniversary, I can make him satisfy. Haha… … It’s so easy and I think he is a nice boyfriend. He didn’t care about my cooking because I made some terrible jelly which is not good feeling.

 

After a few years, I am good at make some jelly. I am totally enjoyed to make it which can make my friend feel happier. I like hearing their laughter and watching their smile. I am so happy I can meet my new friends in the Tourism Industry Programme. They are so nice and make me happier. I love them so much. 

I remembered that some classmated was so unhappy or felt stressful  because of their study, doing project, etc. I don’t like that feelings in my class so I create a event which is called “Happy Jelly Day”. If they ate my jelly, they can smile and feeling good.

Now, I would like to share how to make some jelly. I hope you can enjoy it:

Mentioned below is an easy way to make elderberry jelly recipe.

Get the elderberry benefits by making this elderberry jelly.

Ingredients:
 
‧ 4 pounds Fresh Elderberries
‧ 1 gallon Water
‧ Sugar
‧ 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
 
Procedure:
 
‧ Clean the elderberries thoroughly and remove the stalks, if any.

‧ In a heavy pan, put in the elderberries. Bring the juice to a boil and then cook the elderberries on low heat for about half an hour.

‧ Check the berries. If the berries have turned into a soft pulp, mash the berries with the help of a spatula and continue cooking for a few minutes.


‧ Once the berries are completely cooked, remove from heat and pour them into a muslin cloth. Tie the cloth and hang the cooked elderberries. Keep a bowl beneath the cloth in order to collect all the juice from the muslin. Allow the juice to drip overnight. Do not attempt to squeeze the juice as the elderberry jelly will become cloudy.

‧ The next morning, measure the amount of juice collected in the bowl. Add about a pound of sugar for every pint of juice.

‧ Boil this mixture of juice and sugar in another pan for about 10 - 15 minutes. Add the lemon juice too. After 10 minutes, pour some jelly into a plate and see if the surface starts to set. If the surface sets, then the jelly is ready. However, if the surface does not set, then continue to cook the jelly for 5 more minutes.

‧ Repeat the test after 5 minutes. The jelly should be ready.

‧ Pour the mixture into warm containers and seal them immediately.

It’s so easy when I am making some jelly. I’m enjoying it. I hope everyone can try to make some jelly because it is a good food.

Do you know a brand name call “PEZ”?

PEZ is a combination word of the first, the middle and the last letter of the German word “PFEFFERMINZ” (= peppermint). It was invented by Eduard Haas in Austria in 1927 and now it is 83 years old.

Many people ate “PEZ” candy in their childhood. Most of them do not care about the taste of candy, and they just care about the candy boxes. As there are many different types of candy boxes with different cartoon roles. Many people like collecting PEZ candy boxes. Such as: Tigger, Mickey Mouse, Star war etc.

 “PEZ” first introduced to America market in 1952, and it was designed as a product for adults originally. However the sales performance was not good.

In 1962, “PEZ” cooperated with Walt Disney. The candy boxes were ornamented with images of Mickey Mouse, Donald and Goofy and many people liked this series.  Not only the audits, but also children liked this series. Children became the target buyers too.

Since 1965, countless license agreements with producers of the most popular comic figures were concluded world-wide and ensured the loyalty of generations of PEZ-fans in over 80 counties around the world. For example: Thomas & Friends, Shrek, Hello Kitty, SpongeBob and so on. More and more people become the fans of PEZ.

In 2007, PEZ celebrated 80^th anniversary.  It presented many classic candy boxes and different size of candy boxes. 

I bought many PEZ candy boxes in my childhood, including Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Garfield and Winner the Pooh.  I love the candy boxes design very much and brought them to school every day.  Also I bought a larger candy boxes in 80^th anniversary.

Hello, everyone, I am Sonia, this is my time to introduce another childhood snacks to all of  you, no matter you are first time to browse this blog, or some repeated visitors, welcome to our blog!!  :] 

 
Today, I'd like to tell you about this well known sweet, which is called White Rabbit Creamy Candy. Have you eaten in your childhood?? I am sure that all of you have tried before, at least one times, but I recommend you to try it more, as it is sweet and delicious as well. But I have to remind you that don't eat too much, you should eat appropriately.

This snack made of granulated sugar, starch syrup, fresh condensed milk, butter, high quality milk powder and gelatin by advanced processes. It ranked high reputation abroad for almost 45 years for its strong milk taste, moderate sweetness, soft and smooth body and rich nutrition.

Actually, in my childhood life, this snack is my '' must taste'' candy also. The selling price is really cheap, inexpensive and affordable amount. I can purchase White Rabbit Creamy Candies via Tuck shop, Store, Supermarket and also Market as well. Can it make me 'Water In Mouth', Of course ''YES''!! I like original vanilla flavour most.

But I know until now, there are several newly choices that added to enable some consumers to select, the various flavours are chocolate, coffee, toffee, peanut, corn, coconut, lychee, strawberry, mango, red bean, and fruit. >.< A really remarkable brand name >O< 

Besides, during Lunar New Year or some festivals,  especially when I celebrate the Lunar New Year in my homeland with my dearest relatives and family.

My grandparent usually brought lots of candies and put this kind of snack at home in the past, sometimes they may give us White Rabbit Creamy Candies to reward us, so I had deeply impression that they took care of us. I am really miss them, thus I hope I have spare time to visit them with my family to come to homeland.

>>>White Rabbit Creamy Candy has more than 60 years history. This is China's famouse brand and now sold abroad. White Rabbit Creamy Candy is white colour, with a soft and chewy texture, in addition, this type of candy is formed into cylinders approximately 3 cm long and 1 cm in diameter. 

Each candy is wrapped in a printed waxed paper wrapper, but within this, the sticky candies are again wrapped in a thin edible paper-like wrapping made from sticky rice. The ingredients including corn starch, syrup, cane sugar, butter, and milk as well. Each candy contains 20 calories. White Rabbit sweets have been advertised with the slogan, "Seven White Rabbit candies are equivalent to one cup of milk", and positioned as a nutritional product, and then to be a sweet product.  Is it attractive? Can you know more information about this snack?? I trust you may realize what I say.

Right now, I will tell you some brand histories of this sweet, it originated at the Aipixi Candy Factory of Shanghai in 1943, when a merchant from Aipixi tried a milk candy from England and thought thatt he taste wasgood enough. Through half a year's development, these milk candies have been manufactured as factory's own brand.

The first Aipixi milk candies were packaged using a red Mickey Mouse drawing on the label, and were named ABC Mickey Mouse Sweets. It became widely popular among the people because of  its cheaper prices  compare with other import products. In 1950s, Aipixi  became state-owned.  

Mickey Mouse was seen as a symbol for worshipping foreign countries, so that the packaging was redesigned to feature a naturalistically-drawn White Rabbit and an artist's paint palette with Chinese and English hand-lettering  in a colour scheme of red, blue and black against a white background. 

Initially, production of the candies was capped at 800 kg per day, and they were manually produced. 

In 1959, these candies were given as gifts for the tenth National Day of the People's Republic of China. In 1972, Premier Zhou Enlai used White Rabbit candies as a gift to American president Richard Nixon when the latter visited China.  Today White Rabbit candies are China's top brand of sweet.

Magic Pop Crackling Candy

Hi, everyone! Thanks for reading my blog. I’m Susan Tam. I’m apologizing that my English is so bad in my first sharing. I hope I can improve it and all of you can understand it. This is my second sharing of my childhood snack which is “Magic Pop Crackling Candy”.

A package of Crackling Candy is so many grains of broken sugars. When we tasted the Crackling Candy which dissolution by saliva, the small sugar beats in the oral cavity. Then we can hear the rustling sound. Although it make you have some special feeling, you can felt that has the little pain and the mark itches, looks like in the mouth to explode.

In childhood, I like go supermarket with my mother because I can buy different kinds of snacks which can make me happy. I always eat sweet in any time. The Magic Pop Crackling Candy is one my favorite sweet. I like eating Crackling Candy with my brother on the big tree. It is because that is our secret area where collect our good memory. Also, we like climbing on the tree which can make us happy. It’s because when my father hit us, he didn’t how to climb it. We just sat on the tree and laugh him. Haha.. .. we are the naughty child.

There are different kinds of Crackling Candy. What is your favorite taste?

I don’t try this one. Now, there are many new tastes in the supermarket.

This is my favorite choice, and you??

I think the package design is so good. It can attract child who want to buy it.

I think the lemon of Crackling Candy is not good because it tasted as like as the “liquid detergent” which is cleaning the bowl. Do you think it??
