 Deng Deng Deng Deng.... Let me reveal the answer to you, it can be called DRIED FISH FILLET,  DRIED SHREDDED SQUID or CUTTLEFISH SEASONED CUTTLEFISH? ROLLER CUTTLEFISH? 

Actually, it’s from Sze Hing Loong,  I prefer eating DRIED FISH FILLET rather than CUTTLEFISH SEASONED CUTTLEFISH.

Dragon's Beard Candy (龍鬚糖)

   Do you remeber that I have introduced foreign cotton candy before? Today, I would like to introduce cotton candy too, but this is chinese cotton candy, which is called Dragon's beard candy(龍鬚糖). Did you taste it in your childhood? Dragon's beard candy is in my top ten of my favourite snacks. You must taste it at least once.

   Aucally,  Dragon's beard candy is a traditional chinese sweet, and  it has been invented for the emperor about 2,000 years ago. Thus, it were not only found in Hong Kong, but also can in Beijing, Shanghai and many cities in China.

  Dragon's beard candy is made by malt sugar, white sugar, peanut, sesame and desiccated coconut. It is cooked by well and experienced chefs. They always perform Dragon's beard candy's folding process in their stall. But you may seldomly see it in Hong Kong, you just can buy a pack of Dragon's beard candy only. If you will travel in China in the future, you may see the chef's performance later on. Therefore, if you want to taste it, I suggest you can go to Mongkok, becuase there is a stall specially that can sell Dragon's beard candy. The taste is very good!!! Let's try it @

Candied Haws on a Stick "冰糖葫蘆"

Hi~ everyone. Nice to meet you. I’m Susan Tam. Now, the winter is coming. What do you want to eat in the winter? I like eating “Candied Haws on a Stick” which is a famous childhood snack in Beijing. Do you know it which is the red color? I’m going to show the picture for you. I think you may interest it.

I know that the western people may not be known that snack. It uses the Chinese hawthorn and malt sugar which taste sweet and acid. It tastes good. When you don’t want to eat more, it can make you have the appetite. I think there are less shop can buy in the western, right? If you want to eat, you can make it by yourself. Now, I’ll tell you how to make it.

Material: Fresh Chinese hawthorn, hard sugar, almond, red kidney bean paste, sugar candy scented with jasmine, sesame seed

Procedure: 

1.    Cleaning the fresh Chinese hawthorn, use the knife cut as like as the picture. This time may see as soon as the Chinese hawthorn nucleus, made an effort to extend the nucleus gently reverse to break off the nucleus naturally to fall off

2.    Take the red kidney bean paste, the almond, the walnut, and so on likes material even adding in the central. Then covers the other half with toothpick fixed good;

3.    Put the hard sugar and the water in the pot joins.The proportion probably is 2 hard sugar: 1 clear water. The fire burns to the ebullition, Then afterward transfers the flame. You don’t stop the agitation and slowly boils to the soup starts to emit the even decadent air bubble, joins 1 few sugar candy scenteds with jasmine, stirs;

4.    Put the Chinese hawthorn binds in the syrup. because its even to stain syrup. Then afterward puts in has soaked with the cold water on the plank or the stainless steel tray, scatters the sesame seed or the almond before it's too late is broken, lets its natural cooling then

It’s very easy to make , right? I hope you can make it and enjoy in the winter.

Now, there are many different kinds of fruit which can make “Candied Haws on a Stick”. I like eating strawberry so much. I remember that I like eating it when I go shopping. The feeling is so good.

Calbee Prawn Crackers "卡樂B蝦條"

I am a fan of Japanese snacks. Accumulated so many years of experience to eat snacks, have tried many so many styles, favorite snacks still is the Calbee Prawn Crackers, from time to time want to eat, has been its addiction.

 

It is my favourite, it has a variety of flavors, such as : Original, seaweed flavor, grill flavor and so 
on. My favourite is the seaweed flavor. It is the purple color of this packaging.Here is a section of more brittle pitapat the shrimp, which is simply the enjoyment of the visual!

Shrimp bore some seaweed and some things about sauces now! It is very colorful! When you are busy are tired, you should eat it! You can release more.

Also,  at the back of its packaging, there are some IQ questions. Those questions were very interesting! They are? Let's go to your nearby convenience store to buy it!

However ,we should taste good order to facilitate, should not eat too much!

Do you miss Lollipops? (棒棒糖)

Lollipops tied with generous support club sugar like table tennis, so there is a name.

My childhood, living in general as much more expensive that today, the children were very happy and holding non-stop eating. When thinking of my childhood, also reminds me of a chunk of round lollipops.

There are some tastes of lollipops, such as milky, candy,etc. A child has a rare lollipops, so the land will always treasure a small mouth with his tongue slowly licking a small mouth, chew it not easy to bites, or share with others. Therefore, even if very hard to lick it one afternoon, a thick sugar that the body often so only by licking a little bit thin, even the taste buds are sweet, and only to find out lollipops had really resistant to eat. Loss of time really want to eat sugar and set back the wave board bag in the refrigerator. Now think of it, there is still interesting.

However, now there are just few places where you can buy lollipops , such as supermarket, citysuper.

Chupa Chups (珍寶珠)

Do you like eat lollipop? If Yes, I think you know and like Chupa Chups.

Chupa Chups is a lollipop company founded by Spanish native Enric Bernat in 1958, and currently owned by the Dutch-Italian multinational corporation Perfetti Van Melle.

As there is long history of Chupa Chups,it charged different logoes. There are some special logoes. They are the part of the Chupas Chups development.

In the late 1950s, sweets were presented in different shapes and colors. Not only children, but also audits like this candy.During the last 50 years Chupa Chups has been moving the world. In 2008 Chupa Chups celebrated its 50^th anniversary. It promoted different types of products and packages.

Some special packages and flavors cannot buy in Hong Kong. There are some special packages pictures:

I went to America and Taipei, and I bought some special flavor and packages of Chupa Chups. I bought a package which look liked a cigarette case. And the flavor was Cucumber. Do you like this flavor?? I don’t think so.

It looks like a cigarette case.

Which flavor do you like?

I like the flavor of Cola and Watermelon. When I was a child, I liked eating Cola Chupa Chups during doing homework. I needed to spend much time on eating this candy. Also I like eating Chupa Chups while I hiking.

Spring field pizza (糖蔥餅)

    
   Today, I would like to introduce chinese traditional snack which is Spring field pizza(糖蔥餅). I think that the most of  Hong Kong people have already tasted it in their childhood.  I remeber that I always tasted it during studying secondary school, because it can be bought it from street-side near my secondary school. In recent year,  Spring field pizza is seldomly found from street-side.

   Spring field pizza is made by malt sugar, white sugar, sesame, desiccated coconut and spring roll wrapper. Spring field pizza is need to made by experience chef. Firstly, chef heat  malt sugar to melt and then use stick continued pulling until it turned white from golden yellow,  pulled up to the bar when it cut a section, it will become brittle after cooling. Secondly, chef use spring roll wrapper to wrap malt sugar, white sugar, sesame and desiccated coconut.

   You can buy Spring field pizza from street-side, and it is placed in glass box. But it is seldomly found from street-side in recent year, therefore if you want to taste Spring field pizza, I think that you depend on your luck. If anybody know where can buy Spring field pizza, please leave a message to me!!! Because I want to taste again~~

Have you seen above videos in your childhood or now?

     Let me give you some history about VITASOY, this is an original soybean drink, which is a well known brand around the world,I sure that almost everyone knows this brand name, as VITASOY launch lots of promotions and functions to capture consumer's attention, in order to gain more market share and attempt to fullfill all of your needs and wants. I often bought VITASOY drinks with my friends during recession when I was young. It give me long lasting feelings, I like the white one, orginal flavour, how abou you???

Besides, I would like to share my experiences about VITASOY. No doubt that, Vitasoy is one of the famous brands and fabulous drinks in Honk Kong. It establish good impression that can attract different types of customers. Reasons I like drinking VITASOY? As reasonable, attractive and affordable amount with sweet tastes.  

For me, it's easy and convience to buy this products as well, because it is almost can see at anywhere, anytime.

Therefore, my parents brought VITASOY to us regularly in the past. Moreover, I could keep it and put it into refrigerator, froze the drinks and enjoyed cold drink after few hours later. Hence, I like drinking VITASOY during summer time.

Somtimes I may think can I back to childhood?? Is it possible? Actually no!! But I know the delighted memories may leave in mind.

My favouite drink---Yakult

Hey~everybody! I'm Susan Tam. I'm so glad to share my childhood food which is Yakult. It recaptures my childhood. I know that it is a famous drink when we was young, right?

I have a good childhood when I was young. My parents love me so much. They always bought Yakult to me because the television advertising promoted it which can let children have a health body. They trust that so much! What is your parent? Did they believe that advertisment? Now, there are so many Yakult advertising in Hong Kong. It is so funny and that can attract buyer to buy the product. Let me show the oldest advertising and the new advertising for you.

Do you remember this advertising? I was a naughty girl when I was young. My brother and I like climb the tree so much!That advertising can let me miss my father who is so strict. But I know that he is a kind father because when we cried, he gave me the Yakult which taste so good. So, when I drink it, I miss my childhood so much!

Haha... ... It is so funny advertisment. I love it so much! When I was young, I want to be pretty and charming bride. I believe that the if I drunk more Yakult, I can be a desirable girl. Every girl know that the appearance it so important. It is because we wish we can meet a handsome prince and  we can get a happy ending! Do you have a same dream for me?

This advertising is so funny. Do you remember your first love? When is it happened? I miss my first love when I dirnk the Yakult. I remember that my ex-boy friend and I always drink it for breakfast. It is so sweets! We sat in the playground and enjoyed our best drink. Do you have a same memory? Haha...

Yakult accompanied us in our daily life. Can you feel it?

Skittles(彩虹糖)

Do you remember “Skittles” (彩虹糖)? It is the colorful candies shell with red package.

Did you eat “Skittles” in your childhood? I sure the answer is “Yes”.

Skittles is one of the most popular candies available. It was less than 40 years ago, also if has been updated and marketed to always look hip and colorful. Nowadays Skittles is sold in over 65 counties around the world. It still remains one of the most popular brand of candies.

Skittles was first introduced to market in 1974 in American. This candy looks like M&M chocolate. Sometimes I confuse Skittles with M&M chocolate. However, the M&M logo is found on M&M candies, Skittles prints a small “s” on each of its candies.

 

It was first introduced to Hong Kong market in 1980’s. The marketing slogan of Skittles is “Taste the rainbow”. I found some advertisements of Skittles and those are interesting.

           

             

In the summer of 2004, Skittles was extended with the release of Skittles Bubble Gum. With a crunchy candy shell, the difference was a fruit flavored, soft bubble gum center. In addition, there are other varieties of Skittles available including: Skittles Bite Size Candies Original Flavor, Skittles Bite Size Candies Tropical, Skittles Bite Size Candies Wild Berry, Sour Skittles Bite Size Candies and Skittles Bite Size Candies Smoothie. Did you find them from supermarkets or stores??

To catch the customer needs and wants, Skittles designed new packages again. I visited Mannings last week, and found out that Skittles promote the new packages. The new packages design quite well. I think many office ladies (OL) will like this package and buy it. I think that you will like this packages also.=]
